Hands-on Skills Workshop under PM SHRI Scheme
Activity Name: Pottery Making/ Clay Art
Participants:
Students from Classes VII, VIII, & IX, totaling 45 students
Workshop Duration: 3 days, 10th, 11th and 12th of January 2023.
Daily Hours: Daily sessions of two to three hours
Materials Used: Clay mud, Water, Thread, tools for shaping clay.
Objectives:
Providing students with hands-on skills experience.
Encouraging innovation and creativity, particularly in small pot or Diya making.
Promoting practical learning methods.
Impact on Students:
The workshop enabled students to develop practical skills and explore their creativity through pot making. They learned to work with clay mud materials and tools, enhancing their artistic abilities. It also enhanced practical skills in clay art, making different shapes. Moreover, it fostered teamwork and collaboration among the participants.
Impact on Parents:
Parents appreciated the workshop as it provided their children with valuable practical skills and creative outlets. They observed increased confidence and enthusiasm in their children’s artistic endeavors.
